Nick just sighed as the were sitting there and quirked an eyebrow at his husband. "And I never said our life was boring, just for the record. I have no idea what Finn having a kid has anything to do with anything, and he's really not the best example, because he struggles a lot on his own and he's hardly content and happy with how everything turned out," he pointed out. "i said I don't want our life to get boring, but you're taking everything I say the wrong way again, which sometimes makes me wonder if you're even concentrating on the conversation, and that pisses me off. How are we supposed to discuss anything if you aren't even listening to what I'm saying?"
"You wanted to talk, so start," he said with a waving gesture of his hand. "And I'm not just talking all the flowery reasons why this would be an adorable idea. I want a practical argument how what you want would fit soundly into our life as it is now, and you're not just having a knee-jerk reaction to empty nest syndrome you'll have after the summer."
