Nick drew in a deep breath and let it out slowly as he continued to watch Jeff beside him. This whole thing had made him nervous and uncertain, just when he thought they were content in their life. He wasn't exactly sure what the next move was supposed to be. He always thought he would do whatever he could to give Jeff anything he wanted, but when something was so life-changing like this, it couldn't just be jumped into. Dani had been fantastic with the surrogacy, and she hadn't had an easy time of it either. She often joked that her uterus wasn't for rent anymore, and whilst it was only her way of having a laugh, it always worried Nick to ever want to ask again and he had resolved himself to one child. "I'm not sure I want more kids..." he had to finally admit to Jeff once the penny had dropped why this whole conversation was rubbing him the wrong way and getting him antsy and frustrated.
