Mike's nights off were genuinely Quinn's favorite nights of the week. Not that he didn't sometimes go out with his friends, too, and Quinn was never that bitch of a girlfriend who spited him that. She valued her time with her girls and her fag, so there was no way she wouldn't give Mike the courtesy of time with his boys that he didn't have to worry about her getting pissed over.
Still, he spent quite a few of his nights off home with her, appreciating the joy of living together. It had been a while now that they had shared their apartment in New York City, but there was something in Quinn that never stopped being grateful every morning that she woke up next to her favorite ninja. Of course there were occasional questions from friends and family as to when and if they intended to put a ring on it, but for the first time in her life, Quinn well and truly felt content where she was. She saw no need to rush or push things, and honestly? Much of that was due to Mike. Of course there was a part of her that loved the thought of being married and all that was included in that, but at her core, Quinn was happy. When and if the day came, it would, but she wasn't wasting her days away hoping for it.
Which in and of itself was a damn good indicator as to how much she'd changed. Quinn had always been a planner, had her whole life mapped out in front of her. But between the accident that had put her in a wheelchair for part of her senior year, and falling in love with a gorgeous dancer who knew how to take life one day at a time, she'd slowly but surely come to embrace that way of living, too.
After a dinner that they'd cooked together, and an impromptu dance in the kitchen in their pajamas, Quinn found herself cuddled on the couch in her man's arms. They made it a point to find time to talk every day, even if it was just a phone call over Quinn's lunch break at work, but this was her favorite way to get her conversation on. "I can't believe Kurt and Blaine's wedding is so close. It's crazy to think about how much I still have to do. 'Cedes and I have to make Kurt's bachelorette party the event of the season... No offense to the one you guys are putting on for Blaine, but ours is going to be better," she teased, kissing his nose with a playful grin.
